VTUSync is built for real students and educators who can legally use online services and be responsible for their actions. This page explains who is allowed to use VTUSync and what is expected from every user. It works together with our Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines.
1. Age eligibility
VTUSync is intended for users who are old enough to use online services under the laws of their country and who can understand and accept our policies.
- In India and many other regions, this generally means you should be able to lawfully use apps and consent to data processing under local law, or you must use VTUSync with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian if you are a minor.
- VTUSync is not designed for very young children and does not provide child‑oriented content or supervision features.
- VTUSync may apply different protections, limits, or flows for accounts that appear to belong to minors, in line with applicable data protection and safety requirements.
If VTUSync becomes aware that an account clearly does not meet basic age or consent requirements under applicable law, the account may be restricted or removed.
2. Parental and guardian responsibility
If you are under the age of majority in your region and you use VTUSync:
- Your parent or legal guardian should review the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Community Guidelines with you before you sign up.
- By allowing you to use VTUSync, your parent or guardian accepts responsibility for your account, your activity on the platform, and any consequences that arise from your use (including any purchases or content you post).
Parents and guardians should:
- Help younger users understand not to share sensitive personal information publicly.
- Encourage reporting of abuse instead of retaliating or engaging in fights.
- Monitor usage where appropriate and contact support@vtusync.in if they believe an account is being misused.
3. Account information and honesty
Every VTUSync user is expected to provide accurate information and to use the app honestly.
- You must not create an account using false identity details, stolen credentials, or someone else’s personal information.
- Academic details such as college, branch, and identifiers (e.g., USN) should be correct if you choose to provide them, so that features like analytics and communities can work as intended.
- You must not share your login credentials with others, sell or transfer your account, or allow someone else to use VTUSync in your name.
If we detect clearly fake, misleading, or shared accounts—especially where it creates risk for others—VTUSync may restrict or close those accounts.
4. Behaviour and responsibility on VTUSync
Using VTUSync is a privilege, and every user is responsible for following all rules and using features respectfully.
- You must follow the Community Guidelines, Hate Speech & Discrimination Policy, Anti‑Abuse & Reporting Policy, and any other rules linked from our Terms & Conditions.
- You are responsible for the content you post (notes, posts, gigs, events, comments, messages) and for ensuring it does not promote cheating, scams, harassment, or illegal activity.
- You are expected to use reporting tools to flag problems instead of engaging in revenge, harassment, or “calling out” in ways that break VTUSync rules.
Violations can lead to warnings, feature limits, suspensions, or permanent bans, even on a first offence if the violation is serious (for example, exam leaks, hate speech, or credible threats).
5. Local laws, college rules, and VTUSync
VTUSync does not replace your local laws or your college/university rules.
- You must follow the laws of your country (for example, Indian law if you are in India) when using VTUSync. This includes rules on data, speech, harassment, and academic integrity.
- You are also responsible for following your institution’s academic and conduct rules. Using VTUSync to break college or university regulations (for example, exam misconduct) may lead to both VTUSync enforcement and separate action from your institution.
If VTUSync receives credible information that serious misconduct has occurred and is legally allowed to do so, VTUSync may cooperate with institutions or authorities as part of investigations into that misconduct.
6. Changes to this policy
VTUSync may update this Age Eligibility & User Requirements page as laws change or as the platform evolves. When that happens, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may show a notice in the app or on the website.
By continuing to use VTUSync after changes are posted, you confirm that you still meet the eligibility requirements and agree to the updated user responsibilities.
If you have questions about eligibility or user requirements, you can contact support@vtusync.in.
